Beta users and early access
Effective October 16, 2026
These Beta Terms are part of the BUFI Terms of Service between you and Fantasmita, LLC, doing business as BUFI. They apply when we identify the Service or a feature as beta, preview, pilot or early access. You accept them through the Terms acceptance process; reading this page alone does not record acceptance. The Terms of Service continue to govern, including wallet control, liability, dispute resolution and governing law. These Beta Terms do not reduce the customer-asset protections or mandatory rights in those Terms.
Table of Contents
1. Who can use beta features?
Beta access is limited to the features and workspaces we make available to you, for the period we specify. Subject to the Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use those features for your own or your organization’s lawful activities and evaluation. An invitation or beta badge does not guarantee access to every feature, unlimited usage, a particular country or network, or future availability.
The normal age, identity and business verification, sanctions, workspace-role and partner eligibility requirements still apply. Do not share credentials or bypass approval, security or usage controls. Cards and Borrow are not currently offered to the public; beta participation does not itself make you eligible for them.
2. What does beta status mean?
Beta features are still being evaluated. They may contain errors, change without becoming a final product, produce incomplete or delayed information, or be interrupted or discontinued. We do not promise a release date, uninterrupted availability or any service level beyond an express written commitment. The warranty disclaimers in Section 16 of the Terms apply only to the extent permitted by law.
Keep independent copies of important invoices, payroll records, receipts and other business records. Review outputs and reconcile them against transaction receipts and provider records before relying on them. Consider starting with a small amount when using a new payment flow, and keep a way to meet time-sensitive obligations if a beta feature is unavailable.
3. Can beta features use real money?
Yes. Beta is a product status, not a promise that you are in a sandbox. Check the network and environment shown before funding a wallet or approving a transaction. Mainnet transactions use real assets and can be irreversible. Where a flow is expressly identified as testnet or sandbox, use only the supported test assets and instructions; test assets have no monetary value and are not redeemable for real funds.
The custody rules in Terms Section 5 still apply: wait until treasury setup is complete before funding it; a completed treasury requires its configured signer approvals; your personal wallet requires your own signing credentials; and BUFI controls the keys to execution and agent wallets as described there. Beta access does not authorize BUFI to move funds outside your instructions or approved grants.
Check the amount, asset, network, recipient, fees and required approvals. If a transaction is pending or its result is unclear, check its status or contact support before trying again; a retry can create a duplicate payment. Beta status does not give BUFI the ability to reverse an on-chain transfer or guarantee recovery.
4. How do AI and automated actions work in beta?
Bu’s text and voice responses, document extraction, drafts, insights and suggestions can be inaccurate or incomplete. Verify amounts, recipients, deadlines, tax treatment and supporting records. They are not investment, tax, accounting or legal advice.
Treasury and personal-wallet transactions require the applicable human authorization. Agent-wallet actions may execute under a previously approved workspace grant without a separate approval for each transaction; those grants are enforced by BUFI’s software. Review the permissions, limits, recipients and funds you make available to the agent. Beta participation does not expand a grant or replace the approvals described in Terms Section 10.
5. Is beta access free or unlimited?
Only the fee waivers, credits, sponsored network fees or higher limits expressly offered for your workspace and feature apply. A beta label alone does not waive subscriptions, usage limits, AI credits or transaction charges. Offers may have eligibility conditions, caps and an end date. A waiver of BUFI’s fee does not waive network fees, partner charges, exchange-rate spreads, protocol fees or taxes unless the offer expressly says so. Review the price or quote shown before confirming.
We may change or end beta benefits prospectively, with notice and acceptance where required by the Terms or applicable law. Beta participation alone does not authorize a new paid subscription or retroactive charges for a previously waived fee. No beta benefit guarantees permanent pricing or lifetime access.
For paid beta access or a benefit expressly included in a paid commitment, the Subscription Terms and accepted commercial terms govern its price and committed period. Ending a discretionary beta promotion does not itself cancel or reprice a separately purchased subscription or override an agreed paid benefit.
6. How should I report problems or give feedback?
Send feedback and bug reports to hello@bu.finance or through the support options in the Service. Include the affected feature, approximate time and a transaction reference where relevant. Do not send private keys, PINs, recovery answers, authentication codes or unredacted information about other people. Stop using an affected flow and contact support if you suspect a security problem or an incorrect money movement.
Feedback is voluntary unless you separately agree to a testing activity. Feedback use follows Section 14 of the Terms, including its ownership, permitted-purpose, confidentiality and data-protection limits. This does not transfer ownership of your business records, authorize publishing your confidential or personal data, or authorize using your name, logo or comments as a public endorsement. BUFI retains its intellectual property in the Service under Section 14 of the Terms.
7. Are beta features confidential?
Publicly available beta features and your honest opinions about them are not confidential merely because they are in beta. For a private preview, protect non-public materials we mark confidential or whose confidentiality is reasonably clear from the circumstances, such as unreleased designs, roadmaps, credentials or security details. Use those materials only to evaluate or use the preview, and share them only with people in your organization who need access and are bound to protect them.
This obligation does not cover information that is public without your breach, was lawfully known to you without restriction, is independently developed without using the confidential material, or is lawfully received from another source without restriction. You may make disclosures required by law and report concerns to regulators or exercise protected whistleblowing or consumer-review rights; advance notice of a legally compelled disclosure is required only where lawful and reasonably practicable. No advance notice or permission is required for protected reports to authorities or other legally protected disclosures.
When private-preview access ends or we reasonably request it, stop using and return or delete BUFI’s confidential preview materials where feasible. You may retain records required by law, records needed to document your own transactions or legal rights, and routine backups until their normal expiry, subject to continuing confidentiality. This does not require deleting your own financial records or information on public blockchains.
8. What happens to my data during beta?
The Privacy Policy, Cookie Notice and, where applicable, Data Processing Addendum continue to govern. Beta status does not itself authorize optional tracking, marketing, biometric processing or new uses of customer content. Any consent required for those activities is requested separately. BUFI does not use customer content to train general-purpose AI models.
Share only data you are entitled to provide, redact unnecessary personal information from bug reports, and keep your workspace access appropriate. Ending beta participation does not automatically erase workspace records, legally required financial or verification records, or public blockchain data. Use account deletion or contact hello@bu.finance for data requests under the Privacy Policy.
9. What happens when beta access ends?
You may stop using a beta feature at any time. BUFI may limit, suspend, change or end beta access, including for security, compliance, partner or product reasons, subject to the Terms and applicable law. Where reasonably practicable, we will give advance notice of a planned closure so you can save your records and arrange another way to operate. Urgent security or legal restrictions may require immediate action.
Ending beta access does not cancel completed transactions or existing obligations, transfer ownership of your funds to BUFI, or remove BUFI’s obligation to account for and return assets it controls for you under the Terms. Withdrawals, returns and pending operations remain subject to network conditions, partner rules, required approvals and legal restrictions. Contact support if access prevents you from addressing a pending payment or retrieving records. Confidentiality, permitted feedback use and provisions that by their nature survive continue after beta access ends.
Stopping beta use or ending a free beta feature does not cancel a separate paid subscription. For paid beta access, the Subscription Terms and accepted commercial terms govern the purchased service period, termination and any applicable refund or service-credit rights. BUFI will not use beta status alone to override that paid commitment. Security or legal restrictions may still require immediate suspension under the Terms.
10. Which liability and dispute terms apply?
Sections 16–20 of the Terms of Service govern warranties, liability, indemnification, disputes and Delaware governing law. These Beta Terms do not create a separate liability cap or arbitration agreement. The exclusions and cap do not apply to BUFI’s obligation to account for and return assets it controls for you, direct loss of customer assets caused by breach of an authorized instruction or failure to exercise reasonable care over assets under its control, fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or liability that applicable law does not permit BUFI to exclude or limit. Mandatory consumer rights remain available.
Material changes follow the notice and acceptance process in Section 21 of the Terms. Questions about beta participation can be sent to hello@bu.finance.
